We truly enjoy what we do, and that is very simply making buying a tree (especially for children) a fun, heart-warming, personal, and easy experience. This approach has been key to the success of Green Christmas trees over the years.
So, whether you’re in a hurry and wanting to get your tree quickly and with minimal hassle, or you’re bringing the kids along for a family day out, we’re the place to go.

Ollie - Director and Founder
Since starting up Green Christmas Trees in 2011, Ollie has done a variety of jobs/activites throughout the rest of the year. To name a few he’s been an outdoor instructor in North Wales, cycled the length of South America solo, sold holidays for a Latin American specialist in London, and now lives in Bristol working in logistics for TV production.
In summary, over a decade and a half, he’s been all over doing all manner of things. But every year, no matter what else has been going on, at Christmas, Ollie and his trees are here.
Phoebe - Site Manager
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Phoebe back to the team, this time as Site Manager! Phoebe is a familiar face to many; she was with us last year and was brilliant, to the extent that customers mentioned her by name in their Google reviews for her incredible kindness and help. She genuinely loves seeing you find the perfect tree!
Phoebe is a true master of seasonal work and adventure. She has spent winters working at ski resorts and summers at luxury glamping pop ups at festivals. Her current project is single handedly converting her own van into a micro camper after bring inspired from her year of travelling and working in Japan.
In summary, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more genuine, warm, and capable person to help you find your perfect Christmas tree this year!
Sammy - Operations Manager
Sammy is the essential force behind our operations, managing every critical aspect from payroll, payment systems, stock control, and financial administration. Crucially, she is a pivotal part of decision-making, helping drive the business forward year on year.
Her deep experience as an IT & Finance Manager at a GP Practice and a decade of running a successful pub make her the perfect person to ensure the season runs smoothly. She’s a delight to work with. And having known the founder, Ollie, for 20 years, it’s fair to say they work well together.
In her spare time, you’ll often find her walking her delightful yet major pain-in-the-arse German Shepherd, Loki (aptly named).
Josh - Full Time Team Member
Josh is a critical member of our team, known for his equal ability to be always be calm and crack a gag regardless of how long the shift has been. He’s the kind of colleague everyone wishes they had, so we're thrilled he’s back for another full season!
As an adventure and environmental photographer and filmmaker (see his website), Josh has worked on expeditions from rainforests to glaciers. He has managed a remote wildlife research camp in the cloud forests of Honduras and, incredibly, first put on skis while crossing Europe’s second-largest ice cap.
In summary, a gnarly and lovely chap to buy a tree from.
Mike - Full Time Team Member
Mike for a few years now has come in to work as one of the weekend team, and we’re delighted to say that this year he’s joined full time. He is currently a marine lead advisor in nature conservation, a role that perfectly fits his impressive background, which includes an msc in marine environmental management and even a stint as an Antarctic fisheries observer.
When he’s not focused on conservation, mike is all about adventure. you can find him embracing the challenge of ultra-marathons or, more often, catching waves on the coastlines of Cornwall where he is based.
An incredibly friendly bloke, you'll be in good hands if he’s the one who helps you choose the right tree for your home.
Jon - Marketing Manager
The person ensuring people hear about us is Jon, the man behind our marketing!
Being passionate about all things Christmas tree makes his content a joy to follow. Before joining us, he spent 13 years as a Primary School teacher—including three as the Head—before switching to marketing when his son was born.
He initially built up his skills by promoting his local football club. He now manages social media and builds websites full time for small to medium sized businesses; we are lucky to be one of them!
A proud Welshman, Jon loves sport, photography, and family time. It's a pleasure having such a passionate and capable person managing our profile!
Tom - Full Time Team Member
A close friend from Ollie’s school days, and his first member of staff 15 years ago. A role he continues to embrace every Christmas season.
Despite holding a senior finance position in London, he consistently returns every year. There is without a doubt an element of being a sucker for punishment (he always does the 4am starts and late night finishes). But it is also the appeal of selling trees to lovely people in one of the friendliest environments going, with a hefty chunk of physical labour on the side. His dedication is a testament to the friendly environment we’ve built.
Weekend Team
Every weekend, our core team is joined by a flurry of familiar faces—our dedicated part-timers, many of whom have helped us for many years. since there are over 20 of them across our sites, we thought a profile for everyone was a bit much!
But we wanted to give them a shout-out. as you’ll see from our many reviews, they couldn't be a better bunch, and we genuinely couldn’t do what we it without them. so, cheers to the weekend team!
